Old Colony IDPA Tier 1 Match

6 Stages in 4.5 hours!

Optional 5x5 classifier stage after the match.

Please note: We CANNOT guarantee squadding preferences. Your selected squad may change in order to balance the number of participants between squads.

PCC is allowed but is limited to 10 rounds in a mag per Old Colony Sportsmen's Assoc. Range Rules.

You must have completed a Practical Shooting course at OCSA or other clubs in order to qualify to shoot OCSA matches.

This years OCSA Family Day event will be held on Sunday, October 18th , 2026 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  The day will start with a basic safety briefing after which you are invited to have a look around the club. There will be FREE activities for guests to try including Archery, Shotgun, Rifle, Pistol, and Black Powder. There will be an action shooting demonstration put on by our IDPA group between 12-1pm.

• Eye and ear protection provided at each station or bring your own.

• Food and beverage available for purchase from Smoke & Sizzle.

Its German root is from the word Schütze which can be translated as “shooter.” The Schuetzen is both a rifle and a style of competition steeped in European shooting tradition. The original Schuetzens that arrived with German immigrants were muzzle loaders. Breech Loading Schuetzens are now the rule in competition. Matches are shot at 200 yards with a specialized Schuetzen target.

This is a 5 - 6hr course consisting of instruction followed by intense training/practice on the range. Please report to the IDPA pits at the rear of the club. Please do not drive to the pits unless authorized to do so by the staff.

Emphasis will be on teaching shooters who are new to IDPA to navigate a course of fire safely and efficiently. Students will learn the terminology and range commands used in the sport of IDPA.

OCSA will host a memorial to life member, board member, discipline and project leader Bill Earl who passed away last October. Bill was known by all, he lead The OCSA Stump Jumpers for many years and was deeply involved in the development of that discipline, notably the construction of the log cabin and carpentry in many other areas of the club. Bill also served on the Board of Directors lending his expertise and experience to guide the clubs development. There was not a discipline that at one point or another Bill did not help out in some way. During this event a sign will be dedicated for the Black Powder area.
